If you enjoy the transformers movies, you'll enjoy this one. If you want your movies to have a good plot and good acting, you're an idiot if you think this movie has that. Kickass action scenes and great eye candy? Absolutely
Although if I'm honest they are starting to be a bit repetitive. Big fight on a highway, then explore some small space, then big action scene in a city. One of the big city scenes was even in Chicago...again.
The cars were pretty sweet, and for as much hullabaloo over it being GM centric it really wasn't. Sure a lot of the cars are GMs, but there's a Veyron, Hyuayra, Land Cruiser, some futuristic Mazda concept, and a Mercedes wagon even has a cameo. Lots of concepts too, the Ciel is shown briefly, the Stingray race prototype, and if you pay attention to the scene where main characters get onto bad guy hq there's some red concept that I've never seen and kind of looks like the next gen a Camaro...
Oh, and the Sonic RS was badass for the 3 minutes it's in the movie.
The end almost ruined the movie for me. Not the ending itself, but the transformers cheesy lets summarize the movie real quick thing. It was cringeworthy...
Oh, and just so I'm not the only one: Cades truck was inspected and registered in 2014, but the movie takes place 5 years after dark of the moon, which came out in 2011...

Haha, were you at the west Warren IMAX? Also, one of the inevitable sequels needs to be have lots of aircraft.

Yup. Did you see the C7 parked outside before the movie?
Traditionally only the deceptions are airplanes, and there really weren't any in the movie.
Also, when the fuck did Optimus learn to fly?! That's so wrong, autobots don't fly

I did! I saw someone put a 'To punish and enslave' sticker on their car (forgot what kind of car). But yeah, I know Starscream was always a jet but if Optimus Prime is gonna freaking fly at least give him the ability to also transform into a plane…

It was a Camaro.
In the cartoon the deceptions could fly as robots. No idea why
